Area of Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the technical integration of all Zend Server for Windows deliveries.
2. Responsible to solve and report all PHP on Windows build issues and coordinate their resolution with the appropriate Zend department or with the PHP community members through the appropriate forums and mailing lists.
3. Responsible to communicate all PHP on Windows activity through forums mails etc. to the Zend R&D manager (e.g. update of used libraries, security issues, news etc.)
4. Provide second tear support for all Zend Server and Zend Core issues on Windows.
5. Provide first tear of internal support for both Core and Zend Server to the Zend QA team.
6. Work together with our Linux integration team members to make sure our build environment is aligned and optimized.
7. Responsible to prioritize and define all Windows integration development projects (MSI development, builds etc.) together with our Product Management team.
Successful Candidate Qualifications:
1. Ability to prioritize and coordinate action items for the Windows team members.
2. Responsive and responsible.
3. A deep understanding of the Windows API (Win32) and the Microsoft Windows SDK.
4. Real world, proven, experience with C/C++ development and software integration (MS Visual Studio) for different versions of the Windows Operating System (e.g. Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows XP/Vista, WOW 64).
5. Experience with developing in C# or VB.NET.
6. Experienced with the Microsoft IIS Web server (IIS 6 is a must, IIS 7 is an advantage)
7. Very good communication skills and especially the ability to remotely cooperate with other teams (Internally or third party).
8. Excellent read and written English skills.
9. Self starter, eager to try new technologies and getting a kick from solving complex compilation issues.
10. BSc. in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience.
Advantages
1. Proven, real world experience, developing commercial product installations with InstallShield or Microsoft Installer (MSI).
2. Experience managing a small development team.
3. Experience with alternative Microsoft Windows building environments (e.g. Cygwin or MinGW).
4. Very good acquaintance of commercial PHP Web solutions like SugarCRM, WordPress or Drupal.
5. Experience developing Web applications using PHP or involvement in an active open source project.
6. Acquaintance with the Zend Framework and the MVC model.
7. Deep understanding of the Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP stacks (LAMP).
8. Acquaintance with various PHP stack distributions (e.g. XAMPP).
